SUSTAINABLY SPEAKING
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Bari Machera–an environmental enthusiast with a taste for sustainability. My environmental philosophy is that small actions can lead to big change. I am a junior at Montclair Kimberley Academy in Montclair, New Jersey, but I currently live in Glen Rock, New Jersey.
Since my early years, I’ve had a burning passion for the environment. At age seven, I started germinating apple seeds in damp paper towels and planting them in my backyard. At fifteen, I became the president of my school’s environmental awareness club. So it’s safe to say that sustainability has been a priority of mine since the beginning.
My aim with this blog is to show people that environmental progress can result from small everyday change. It’s also a perfect way to combine my two favorite hobbies: writing and sustainability. So sit down, relax, and read!
